BREAKING: CBN Finally Releases Names Of Fund Looters To Buhari For Probe

The immediate past Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, illegally approved the transfer of at least N61.4 billion ($300 million and £5.5 million) from funds recovered from late dictator, Sani Abacha, to the Office of the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, few weeks to the 2015 presidential election, Premium Times reported.

The former Minister signed off on the transfer but then closed her eyes to how the funds were spent, requesting then President Goodluck Jonathan to directly demand accountability from Mr. Dasuki.
The Central Bank of Nigeria has however handed a shocking list of fund looters to President Buhari for immediate probe. The names on the list will likely be jailed as the president continues to tackle corruption.

MTN Unveils Unlimited Daily Data Plan for just N150 only. Here's How to Subscribe!

Yeah, you read the post title right and it's for real. After so many years of hustling for affordable data bundles with good connection speed. Nigerians can now enjoy unlimited Data for the cheapest amount possible, this is made possible by MTN. How? Just recently, MTN has introduced a new unlimited daily data plan for only N150, which means you can now go online without the fear of exhausting your data. The most interesting part is that it works not only on PC but also on Mobile devices, ranging from iPhones to Android Phones, Windows Phone and so on. Simply put, it's going to work on any device that has a SIM slot and make use of the Internet.

The new unlimited data plan will let you surf and download anything on the internet with no restriction(s) at all. As far as I'm concerned, this new data plan is a very good one for Bloggers, Webmasters or just anyone that likes surfing and downloading a lot on the Internet because If you subscribe to this plan everyday for a whole month i.e. N150 x 30 days = N4500. With the present situation of things in Nigeria, an unlimited data bundle which costs N4500 for a month is a very good deal, not to talk of the fact that you can choose to subscribe only when you need it. Now, how do you go about the subscription ?

How to subscribe to this plan!

-> First of all, you need to check if you are eligible by dialing *567*59#.

-> After checking your eligibility with the code above, reply with 1 to activate the plan.

-> Before you know it, you are already surfing and downloading unlimitedly.

Also, If you've been using the Simple Server MTN Plan before, you might want to consider changing to this plan since it's just N150 while the Simple Server daily is N70. You know how convenient this is, unlike the Simple Server Plan where you drain your battery life for more data. Now, let's throw the ball to you - What do you think about this plan? Are you going to use it or you think there are better data plans around? Kindly share this post with others. Cheers!!!

KOGI State Police Command now has in its custody, one of the suspected herdsmen who participated in the recent massacre of more than 48 persons in Nimbo community, Uzo- Uwani local government area of Enugu state.
Saturday Sun gathered that the suspect simply identified as Mohammed Zure was initially arrested by the police because of his connection with some suspected kidnappers in the state.According to a reliable source in the state command, Mohammed was granted bail after the prime suspect in the kidnap case for which he was nabbed was arrested. “He was granted bail and because he needed someone to take him on bail, the investigating officer decided to switch on his phone. Out of curiosity, he decided to go through the content of the phone. It was in the process that he discovered horrible video clips of a murder scene.
Mohammed, it was further gathered, told the police that the Fulani are so united that whatever affects an individual is their problem. “He alleged that their people in Nimbo shared Kolanut to all cattle rearers across the country. What it signifies is that there is going to be an attack and everyone should send representatives to support them. He alleged that this is their custom and has been existing. He was nominated to join them because he was born and raised in Enugu by his father who is also a herdsman. Two days before the attack, they all gathered in a community in Kogi and perfected how they would execute the attack.”

Meanwhile, Saturday Sun learnt that police has commenced massive hunt for the fleeing herdsmen who are believed to have relocated from Enugu.
The attack on Nimbo community by suspected Fulani herdsmen may have come and gone but the damages will surely remain for ages. Families, friends and well wishers continue to mourn their deceased ones while the community has remained largely deserted following the incidence in the early hours of Monday 25th April, 2016.
One of Saturday Sun’s reporters had last week paid a visit to some families that lost their beloved ones in the attack. Mr. Dennis Eze, a brother to late Mr. Maxwell Eze who died in the attack has this to say.
“We are still in shock. We never know this attack would still happen because there was information prior to the attack and the security agencies were alerted one week before the attack yet they couldn’t do anything to stop it”, Mr. Dennis said. Explaining how the attack happened, he said “We had a meeting on Sunday evening where we discussed how to protect our community from the attack if it happens. It was around 3am on Monday that a warning bell was rung and woke everybody up and we never knew it was the Fulani herdsmen that rang the bell only for us to come out and behold there were armed men in their large numbers and they started shooting sporadically at us.

False Alarm: EFCC Tenders Documents Against Suspect

EFCC PRESS RELEASE
Justice Mohammed Liman of the Federal High Court sitting in Port- Harcourt, Rivers State on Thursday, May 5, 2016 admitted two exhibits against Stanley Emesibe, who is standing trial on a 3-count charge bordering on false information and forgery preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
ShaEFCC PRESS RELEASJustice Mohammed Liman of the Federal High Court sitting in Port- Harcourt, Rivers State on Thursday, May 5, 2016 admitted two exhibits against Stanley Emesibe, who is standing trial on a 3-count charge bordering on false information and forgery preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
At the resumed hearing of the matter on Wednesday, principal prosecution witness in the matter, Orji Chukwu, led in evidence by counsel to EFCC, O. B. Akinsola, told the court that, Emesibe forged a document of a Zenith Bank Cheque of N1.6million (one million, six hundred thousand naira).
He further testified that the suspect wrote a petition against David Wudee alleging that the sum of N1.6million was released to him as a loan to execute a contract with Starex Refinery Company Limited and that he failed to return the money to him.
The petition he wrote to the EFCC was shown to him and his counsel, E. E. Amadi, and was admitted as exhibit ‘A’.  His statement at the EFCC’s office and the photo copy of a dud cheque were also tendered and admitted as exhibit ‘B’.
Emesibe ran into trouble when he petitioned the EFCC that one Daivd Wudee borrowed the sum of N1.6million from him, to enable him execute a contract. They entered into an agreement and Wudee offered him an undated cheque in the sum of N1.6million. However, he later paid him the sum of N1,465,000.00 (one million, four hundred and sixty five thousand naira).  Emesibe, in an attempt to ‘play smart’ on Wudee later dated the cheque earlier written by Wuddee and presented it to the bank. The cheque was returned and he petitioned the EFCC that Wudee offered him a dud cheque.
Investigations by the EFCC un-covered the fraudulent moves of Emesibe and was he arrested and arraigned before the court.
Count one of the charge reads:
“That you, Stanley Emesible on or about 9th of March, 2009 at Port Harcourt, Rivers State within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court made a forged document to wit: a Zenith Bank Cheque number 19001109 dated 9th March, 2009 purportedly drawn by David Dum Wudee to you, knowing it to be false, and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 1(2)(a) of the Miscellaneous Offence Act Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and punishable under section 1(2) of the same Act.
Justice Mohammed Liman adjourned the matter to June 8, 2016 for continuation of trial.

MTN Offers New Data Bundles That Are Actually Cheap A few months ago, MTN introduced an unlimited daily data plan that costs only ₦150 but most people have been unable to use it since eligibility is a major criteria. However, the leading telecommunications network has a new offer for its subscribers. A recent report by NCC shows that more people are subscribing to Glo network and this may be due to the relatively cheaper data plan being offered. This new move by MTN looks like damage control as the network has been losing subscribers to the rival Glo network in recent times. In a text message sent to subscribers recently, you can now purchase 1.3GB data bundle for just ₦1,000 and 3.75GB for only ₦2,000. To subscribe: SMS 106 to 131 for 1.3GB data bundle at ₦1,000 for 30 days SMS 110 to 131 for 3.75GB data bundle at ₦2,000 for 30 days Right now, it’s unclear if this is another promo that won’t last long or a permanent data plan. MTN is known to regularly axe such great plans and this might even be gone before we know it. However, we suspect this is a move by the telecom giant to stay ahead of the competition.
